Zambia

Nestled in south-central Africa, Zambia is a landlocked country renowned for its scenic landscapes and vibrant culture. The Zambezi River, after which it is named, courses through its territory, leaving only a small northern part untouched. The country’s population is concentrated along the well-developed Line of Rail, linked by a railway connecting the Copperbelt, the capital city of Lusaka, and the border town of Livingstone. Zambia shares borders with several neighbouring countries, including Angola to the west, Namibia’s Caprivi Strip to the southwest, Zimbabwe to the south, Mozambique to the southeast, Malawi to the east, and Tanzania to the northeast. Its distinctive butterfly shape is shaped by its elongated border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which encompasses Lake Tanganyika, Lake Mweru, and the Luapula River.
